The Listed Issue Master returns the product category recorded in the issue master as of each date, as is. The definition of the product category codes is common with the table above throughout the data provision period (from May 7, 2008).
The product category (ProdCat) is recorded for all issues over the entire period with no missing values, so no supplementation is required.
The product category (ProdCat) lets you identify issues other than domestic stocks (ETFs, REITs, foreign stocks, etc.).
The product categories are limited to those listed in the table above; no category directly indicating ETNs or infrastructure funds is defined.
"011: Domestic Stocks" includes preferred shares and similar classes in addition to common shares, so the product category alone cannot be used to extract only domestic common shares.
